FG Tells Youth: Stop Fretting Over Hardships, Start Harnessing Technology

The Minister of Communications and Digital Economy, Bosun Tijani, has advised Nigerian youth to cease fretting over difficulties and instead capitalize on the numerous opportunities within the tech sector to attain financial independence and construct a sturdy future for themselves.

He spoke in Abeokuta, Ogun State, on Monday, at the inauguration community ICT centre he donated to Egbaland.

The hub was constructed by the National Information Technology Development Agency (NITDA).

In addition to the ICT center, a library and an administrative building gifted by Ogun West Senator Solomon Adeola (Yayi) were officially opened at the newly established Abeokuta City Hall Complex.

The Minister, who recalled his personal experience growing up in Abeokuta, noted that there was a lack of ICT facilities where talented youths could expand their horizons.

He mentioned that the new facility was established to fill the void and provide young people with opportunities to discover and nurture their creative abilities and skills.

Tijani revealed that 30 of these installations have already been constructed nationwide and will be inaugurated within the coming two months.

He thus urged the young person to stay concentrated and not lose heart, mentioning that numerous job openings exist within the tech industry.

If someone working in tech is asked, the starting salary typically ranges from N350,000 to N500,000," he noted. "Given how lucrative the field of technology can be, rather than fretting over challenges, individuals ought to leverage resources such as these centers, boost their skills, and seize the myriad opportunities available worldwide.

During his speech, Alake and the Paramount ruler of Egbaland, Oba Adedotun Gbadebo, praised the Minister for donating the facility.

The traditional leaders encouraged other Egba people both within the country and overseas to follow the example set by the Minister and utilize their connections and networks for advancing the progress of Egbaland and the state as a whole.
