Ondo Varsity's Top Graduate Rewarded with Substantial Financial Prize

Okitipupa, Ondo state The top graduate from Olusegun Agagu University of Science and Technology (OAUSTech) in Okitipupa, Ondo State, Stephen Emeomi-Magi, has received an award of N500,000.
Emeomi-Magi received the monetary compensation from the Ahoanaruogho clan of Benin, Edo State.
The Electrical/Electronics graduate topped the rankings for the 2023/2024 academic year at the institution’s commencement ceremony, which took place on March 4, 2025.
According to Leadership, the prize was named "The Mrs Josephine Ajua Ahonaruogho Award for Top graduating student."
OAUSTECH's Vice-Chancellor, Professor Temi Ologunorisa, stated this in an announcement released on Wednesday, April 2, 2025, in Okitipupa.
Ologunorisa mentioned that the institute had conferred degrees upon 995 graduates.
He provided a detailed distribution showing that 31 secured seats in First Class, 367 in the Second Class Upper division, 495 in the Second Class Lower section, with 102 passengers traveling in Third Class.
Ologunorisa also mentioned that Dr Richard Oma-Ahonaruogho (SAN) disclosed the scholarship via a communication sent to the institution.
The institution'sRegistrar, Abiodun Okunniga, stated:
Emeomi-Magi’s success is proof of dedication and persistence. We are delighted to acknowledge this achievement, and as always, we express our gratitude to the Ahoanaruogho family for their backing and collaboration.
